Keeper League Rules
Draft:
Please check league for draft type and draft times.
Live Draft - 2 minutes per draft selection
Timed Draft - 6 hour limit per selection. Timer will be “off” during overnight hours, however teams can still make draft choices during this time.
All leagues will hold their draft via the league software. There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position. It is up to the skill and draft strategy of each team owner to decide the roster players.
The draft order will be based on the prior season's playoff results, with playoff teams drafting after non-playoff teams. The draft order is in a serpentine format.
Trading of draft picks:
All teams are permitted to trade draft picks and/ or players. Trades will be processed by owners, under the supervision of the commissioner. All forms of collusion or dumping or lending players are forbidden.
Keeper and Roster Limits:
3 keepers per season of any position. The league commissioner will announce when keeper designations are due.
Team roster limits are set at 20 players per roster.
Lineups Requirements:
Starting lineups will consist of ...
QB, RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 Flex, PK, Def
A team must have a completed starting lineup on its roster at all times during the season.
Lineup Submission:
Starters in early games are locked at kickoff of their game. Other starters are locked at the start of their game. Therefore, you can submit partial starting lineups for early games.
Scoring:
A player may score from any position in the following manner.
Passing: 1 pt per 25 yds, 4 pts per TD, 1 pt per conversion, -2 pts interception, -2 pts per fumble
Rushing & Receiving: 1 pt per 10 yds, 6 pts per TD, 2 pts per conversion, 0.5 pt per 1 reception, -2 pts for fumble lost
Field Goals: 0-39 yds = 3 pts, 40-49 pts = 4 pts, 50 yds plus = 5 pts; missing kick under 40 yds = -2 pts, missing 40-49 kick = -1 pt
Kick an Extra Point: 1 pt; missed XP kick = -2 pts
Defense/ special teams: Fumble recoveries, Int’s, Safeties = 2 pts, Sacks = 1pt, TD’s = 6 pts.
Points allowed: 0-10 = 10 pts, 11-20 = 7 pts, 21-25 = 3 pts, 26 or more = 0 pts.
A tie game during the regular season counts as a tie. Tie games in the playoffs are decided by the following tiebreakers: (1) Highest-scoring individual bench player, (2) Highest-scoring bench overall, (3) Highest-scoring individual starting player.
Free Agency (wavier wire):
Any current or past NFL player who is not on a team roster is considered a free agent. Waiver wire opens one week before the first regular season NFL game, and ends with the League Championship game (week #16).
There are two waiver periods in most weeks, and any team may drop ONE player and pick up ONE player during each waiver period.
The first waiver period is from Monday 11:00 pm ET until Wednesday 9pm ET.
The second period is from Wednesday 9:01pm ET until Saturday 12:00 noon ET. There will be no second waiver wire period during weeks with a regular season NFL game that begins earlier than Saturday 12:00 noon ET.
The order of waivers will be the reverse order of standings at that time, tiebreakers being (1) total points, and (2) head to head among all tied teams.
If an owner applies for a free agent who is not available when his turn comes up, he retains the dropped player.
Any player who has been dropped will be available for pickup after the following Sunday.
Trades:
Off season trading period is open once the following year’s web page is updated by mfl. All trades during this period must be approved by commissioner.
Trade deadline is week 10. All transactions must be processed online, with the approval of all trading teams. After they are processed, the commissioner will review all transactions, acting as needed on transactions that are not in the league's best interest. All forms of collusion or dumping or lending players are forbidden. A player traded from one team cannot be traded from the same owner back to the original team for 6 weeks.
"Future consideration" may not be traded. Waiver wire order may not be traded.
